How do we check names and document details?
We do not guess a person’s official English name. If a Chinese-language document uses Chinese characters but a passport or another official record provides an established English spelling, we ask for the supporting file and check the names before using that spelling where appropriate.
For academic, legal, medical or technical documents, customers may also provide established terminology. Requested corrections are reviewed against the source document and the confirmed terminology.
