When is an English translation used?

A Taiwan household registration transcript may be requested as evidence of identity, family relationships, residence history or name changes for an Australian visa, citizenship, school, employer or other administrative process. Whether this particular source document is required depends on the receiving organisation and the application checklist.

The Australian Department of Home Affairs explains that documents not written in English must be accompanied by an English translation for an application. See its guidance for translating documents into English.

This service translates a transcript you already hold. It does not obtain the transcript from a Taiwan household registration office and does not include notarisation, an Apostille or consular legalisation.

What do I need to provide?

Upload every transcript page that must be translated and provide the established English spelling for the people named in the document. A passport upload is not required for this service.

All required pages

Upload each page you intend to submit. The number of pages uploaded must match the quantity selected and paid for on the order form.

Clear, complete images

All four corners and all text must be visible. Avoid glare, cropping, blur, obstruction and severe perspective distortion.

English names and notes

Provide the established English spelling for the people concerned. Note uncommon characters, previous names or spelling differences.

Page-count reminder: one single-sided transcript image counts as one page. If both sides contain information that must be translated, count both sides.

Price and turnaround

The price is calculated as the number of pages translated × A$75. Work begins after the readable files, correct page count, required names and payment have all been received.

Pages translated Total price Delivery
1 page A$75 Certified PDF
2 pages A$150 Certified PDF
3 pages A$225 Certified PDF

Turnaround: within 24 business hours for a complete standard order after all required information and payment are confirmed.

How are English names handled?

If a person named in the household registration transcript has a Taiwan passport, provide the established English spelling used in that passport. The translation should preserve consistent naming across the documents used for the same application.

If the transcript records a former name or a formal name change, that record can also be translated as it appears in the source. Add a note to the order if different records use different spellings.

How to order

1. Upload the pages

Open the Traditional Chinese order page and upload every clear page that needs translation.

2. Enter names and quantity

Provide the English names, choose the actual number of pages and check the calculated total.

3. Pay securely online

Complete the Stripe payment. The certified PDF is sent by email after translation and checking.
